THE SURGERY WILL BE CLOSED ON TUESDAY 20TH NOVEMBER FROM 1pm FOR STAFF TRAINING.

Dr Hanson will be leaving the practice on Wednesday 28th November 2018 as she is retiring.  We all wish her good luck for the future.

We will be welcoming Dr Steven Douglas from this date to join the team at Willingham Surgery.

FLU VACCINE UPDATE

A further flu vaccination clinic for patients UNDER 65 will be held on Monday 26th November.  Please contact the Surgery to book an appointment if you have not yet had your vaccination and are under 65.

For patients over 65, we have managed to obtain a further supply of vaccinations and will be contacting patients on our waiting list to book an appointment. Due to the availability of the vaccine, it may not be possible to meet the demand for all over 65's so please feel free to contact your local pharmacy (Boots/Co-op) and arrange to have your vaccination with them if you wish.  We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE DISPENSARY WILL NOT BE OPEN DURING ANY EXTENDED HOURS APPOINTMENT SESSIONS.  YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COLLECT ANY MEDICATION/PRESCRIPTIONS DURING THIS PERIOD.

IN ORDER FOR US TO COMPLY WITH REGULATIONS THAT APPLY TO ORDERING, PRODUCING & DISPENSING YOUR PRESCRIPTION, IN FUTURE WE WILL REQUIRE 3 WORKING DAYS (NOT INCLUDING WEEKENDS) TO COMPLETE YOUR REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS.

EVENING AND WEEKEND APPOINTMENTS

The Willingham Surgery is pleased to be able to offer our patients access to routine appointments at evenings and weekends.

The new service is part of an extended access service which has been commissioned by NHS Lincolnshire West Clinical Commissioning Group.

The appointments will also be available on bank holidays and across the Easter, Christmas and New Year periods.

Extended hours appointments are for pre-bookable non-urgent appointments. Examples of these include chronic illness, asthma checks and medicines reviews.

The service is being delivered by a federation of GP practices in the area. If a patient wishes to attend an extended hours appointment, they may need to travel to another local GP practice and may not necessarily see their own GP.

In our locality, appointments are available between 6.30pm and 8pm Monday to Friday and on Saturday and Sunday mornings. There are also a number of additional appointments being made available during core hours (8.00am to 6.30pm Monday – Friday)

To arrange an appointment or for more information on when and where appointments are available, speak to the practice receptionist or member of the practice team or call the practice on 01427 788277.
